Seiko Instruments offer 3.5mm thin 7.0" WVGA TFT!
Seiko Instruments offer a whole line of new TFT displays with very interesting characteristics.
With a thickness of 3.5mm combined with extreme view angles, they are taking up the competition
with AM-OLED which is much more expensive. Furthermore they also offer optically bonded touch
as std for their 2.4”, 2.8” and 4.3” models.
2 years ago they changed strategy and decided to introduce their advanced design know-how on displays
aiming also for industrial customers. Accordingly they guarantee at least 3 years future availability
and a reliable E.O.L. system! (EG also offers new interesting controller-IC’s from www.solomon-systech.com that can be combined with
Simple and lowcost 16-bit MCU’s).
